Some of our Great
Clients and Partners:
We believe that great design is not art—it is a solution to a problem. Our design process is rooted in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles, ensuring that every button, form field, and navigation menu serves a specific functional purpose.
Clarity: Reducing cognitive load so users know exactly what to do next.
Efficiency: Minimizing the number of clicks to complete a purchase or task.
Consistency: Building Design Systems that ensure your brand looks the same on every device.
Before we draw pixels, we map the journey. We identify the friction points in your current application and architect a smoother path.
Deliverables: User Personas Journey Mapping Information Architecture (IA) Wireframes
We create high-fidelity, pixel-perfect interfaces that align with your brand identity. We design for the modern web. Responsive, fast, and interactive.
Tools: Figma Adobe XD Sketch
Specialties: Dark Mode Design, Data Visualization, and Dashboard UI.
Stop rebuilding the wheel. We build modular Design Systems, libraries of reusable components (buttons, forms, cards) that allow your development team to build new features faster and with 100% consistency.
Benefit: dramatically reduces technical debt and frontend development time.
Interactive Seat Maps: Designing vector-based (SVG) seating charts for theaters and stadiums that work on mobile.
Enterprise Dashboards: Organizing massive datasets into readable, actionable analytics panels.
Purchase Flows: Optimizing the “Add to Cart” to “Thank You” sequence to minimize abandonment.
We watch your users. We see where they get stuck. We look at your analytics to find the drop-off points.
We sketch the structure without getting distracted by colors. We validate the flow first.
We build clickable prototypes in Figma. You can click through the app and "feel" the experience before we write a single line of code.
We don't just send images. We provide developers with CSS/SCSS snippets, assets, and redline specifications to ensure the code matches the design perfectly.
After handoff and release we will monitor results through data to ensure the solution is optimized and performing perfectly.

Working with the entire LockData team has been a pleasure. I mean that fully. You are incredible people with real talent and genuine care for the work and the purpose behind what we set out to deliver. This website project has been one of the best parts of my time at Scottsdale Arts, and that is because of all of you.

With a sweeping grand staircase and elegant chandeliers, The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts transports its audience back to the time when a night out at the theatre was one of the most delightful entertainment options available. Today, it serves as a center of culture, education and community. It also symbolizes the rebirth of a city.

Not sure what UX design really is, or how it’s different from visual design? Here’s a plain-English look at what we do, and why it matters for arts and live event organizations.
The biggest UX opportunity for most venues is the ticket-buying flow. Every extra click, confusing step, or moment of doubt costs you a sale. We study how patrons actually move through your purchase path, then redesign it to be faster and clearer. For Scottsdale Arts, this kind of UX work cut cart abandonment by 88%.
Good UX isn’t about what looks nice, it’s about what works. We watch real people use your site, review your analytics to find where they drop off, and test our ideas before they’re built. That means design decisions are backed by evidence, not guesses or internal debates.
Interactive seat selection is one of the hardest things to get right, especially on mobile. We design seat maps and selection flows that are clear, fast, and usable on a small screen, so patrons can pick their seats without frustration.
Some of your tools aren’t customer-facing, they’re the dashboards and admin screens your team uses every day. We design those too, organizing dense data into clear, usable interfaces so your staff can work faster and make better decisions.
Accessibility isn’t optional. We design to WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards, so patrons using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive tools can browse and buy without barriers, widening your audience and reducing legal risk.
Experience design is the foundation: how it works, how it flows, how it feels to use. Once that’s right, our web design team makes it beautiful and our web development team builds it. UX first, then visuals, then code, so what gets built is both usable and gorgeous.
I'll always be incredibly grateful for the brilliant minds at LockData. Every time we said, 'But we can't do X,' their response was more like, 'Well, you can. We just have to do it this way.' Or, 'We could do X on the back end, and it wouldn't impact the guest-facing flow at all.' That mindset, creativity, and ability to find solutions without compromising the guest experience made such a difference. Truthfully, one of the best teams I've ever had the opportunity to work with.

What’s the difference between experience design and web design?
Experience design (UX) is about how something works, the flow, the structure, and how easy it is to use. Web design is about how it looks, the visual style and branding. We do both, but they’re different disciplines: UX comes first, then the visual design brings it to life.
Can you help reduce our cart abandonment?
Yes. Reducing checkout friction is one of our specialties. We study where patrons drop off, then redesign the purchase flow to be faster and clearer. For Scottsdale Arts, our UX work cut cart abandonment by 88%.
Do you do UX for performing arts and live event organizations?
Yes. It’s a core focus. We design purchase paths, seat selection, and patron-facing interfaces specifically for the way arts and live event audiences buy, informed by years of work in the space.
What is the difference between UI and UX?
UX (User Experience) is the architecture, how a product works and flows. UI (User Interface) is the styling, the colors, type, and visual polish. You need both for a great product, and we do both.
Do you conduct user testing?
Yes. We perform usability testing where we observe real people trying to use your software. This exposes confusing navigation or broken flows that your internal team might miss because they’re too close to the project.
Can you fix the design of an existing app?
Absolutely. We specialize in UX audits. We review your current application, score it against best practices, and give you a prioritized list of quick wins to improve usability right away.
What do we get at the end of a UX project?
Depending on the project: user research and journey maps, wireframes, and clickable prototypes in Figma you can test before anything is built, plus developer-ready specs so the final build matches the design exactly.
Do you design for mobile?
Everything we design is mobile-first. We assume your users are on a phone and scale the experience up to desktop, rather than shrinking a desktop site down.

“Working with LockData has been a fantastic experience. They took the time to understand our business model and brought our ideas to life with a sleek, intuitive group sales and ticketing app. Brian, Patrick, and the team have been supportive every step of the way, delivering exactly what we were looking for.
We continue to work with LockData to update and improve the group sales app and would not hesitate to work with them again on another project of this magnitude. We highly recommend LockData for anyone seeking reliable, top-tier web development services!”
